Supporting Healthy Communities

CHALLENGE

The Ottawa Community Housing Foundation was embarking on its inaugural strategic planning process. The Executive Director needed to build collective knowledge and consciousness among Board members, staff, community partners and tenants and begin to collaboratively develop a powerful vision, mission, and guiding principles for the Foundation.

SOLUTION

We designed and facilitated a multi-session process that enabled stakeholders to gain empathy for each other’s realities, understand each other’s roles in supporting healthy communities in Ottawa, and create a shared picture of the future they desired.

As participants engaged and got to know each other better, they continued to grow and develop their core strategic asset – the strength of their people working together.
