Defining Excellence at Payments Canada

 

CHALLENGE

The Canadian Payments Association (now Payments Canada) undertook an organizational renewal process. Staff from two offices were moving into one building and they wished to cultivate a shared culture of excellence.

SOLUTION

Working collaboratively with an internal leader, we co-designed and co-facilitated engagement sessions with the staff to uncover the nuances and tensions of executing excellence at work every day. We created two portraits to capture ideas shared at each office and synthesized the wisdom so leaders who were not present could better understand the various perspectives.

We enabled leaders to notice patterns of thinking and behavior in the organization and design relevant interventions to co-create the culture they desired.
